2026 Norwich Law Walk

Thu 17 September – EA Chambers Norwich
Norwich Law Walk

Sponsored by

The 2026 Walk is now open for team registrations on Just Giving – here – where you can register your team and start fundraising and promoting to colleagues and friends.

See below for event details…. If you have never set up a Team to support a Just Giving campaing this guide will help….

The Norwich Law Walk returns to raise vital funds for Norfolk Community Law Service and Norfolk Citizens Advice.

This year will be a 5k walking route, or a 10k if you fancy doing it twice! And we will also be joined by Norwich LegalRunner for this year’s event.

Meeting from 4:45pm and setting off on the walk from approximately 6pm in the city centre at East Anglian Chambers in The Close, (route to be revealed soon…), our walkers will take on a 5km walk encompassing Norwich’s most beautiful sites to fund raise in aid of Norfolk Community Law Service and Norwich Citizens Advice Bureau.

We’ll celebrate at the finish line with complimentary drinks provided by our sponsors and venue hosts – East Anglian Chambers

All funds raised at the Norwich Law Walk will be poured right back into charities based in our region and events like the Walk are crucial to ensure that these charities can continue to deliver their vital services. We are proud to say that every single penny raised will be split equally between NCLS and NCAB.

Free legal advice agencies provide essential support to the most vulnerable in society and by supporting the Law Walk, you can help our local charities ensure there is greater provision for those most in need; to name a few, funds that you raise could:

  • Help a person enforce their legal rights to welfare benefits and live with dignity.
  • Ensure a disabled person facing workplace discrimination can stay in their job.
  • Help a refugee to make a fresh start in the UK.

The need is now greater than ever, as the cost of living crisis rages on, wars across the globe continue to impact our local community, and charities still work to recover from the pandemic.

We do not ask for a minimum fundraising target from the walkers who join us, but we would love to smash our fundraising target of £6,000 and hope that you will commit to joining us with this objective!

We’ve listed a few fundraising ideas to get the ball rolling but would love to hear any other ideas you and your team might try:

  • Lunchtime/ after work quiz in the office (with entry fee as donation).
  • Lunch sale (sandwiches, crisps, scones, sausages rolls etc – think picnic food where colleagues make a donation in exchange for a delicious lunch!)
  • Bake sale.
  • Donate the cost of a daily coffee for a week.
  • Whole-office emails (think how much would be raised if everyone in your office either donated or completed the walk!)
  • Social media – we have Twitter and Instagram graphics available on request which can be used to promote on your personal or corporate social media.
  • Office/ firm LinkedIn posts – work that professional network!
  • If your workplace has a charities committee, they may be able to match any donations made.

You can create your team fundraising page on the Norwich Law Walk’s JustGiving page via the link.

Please do not hesitate to contact admin@nnls.org if you have any questions at all.

We hope to see you there!
